Welcome to the Entomology Quest! In this fun quest, the Acton West ES Eagles will explore the fascinating world of bugs. There’s a lot to learn -- did you know that insects make up 80-90% of all known living species?!
In this six week session, the Eagles will begin by identifying the common bugs that live all around us. They will learn about the life cycles, habitats, and anatomy of different bugs. They will study helpful bugs and “dangerous” bugs, and they will learn about how bugs are essential to our ecosystem.
In this quest we’ll also get into the nitty-gritty: what is a bug? Are bees and spiders bugs? Is a crab a kind of bug?!
For the Exhibition, each Eagle will dive deep on one bug and present their findings.
